Students also need to have their former colleges mail official copies of their transcripts. Wright State does not accept scanned copies or faxed records but will accept digital transcripts. Students are responsible for checking with their future programs to find out what other requirements they need to complete. Those programs may ask for three reference letters written on the authors letterhead. Those who graduated within the last five years can use academic references, but the university asks for professional references from those who graduated more than five years ago.
Many programs have a grade point requirement of 3.0 or higher and ask for a personal statement that shows why the student picked WSU and that field of study. They may need to show proof that they took prerequisite classes too. Wright State will not process an application until it receives all the required information. It can take up to two days for the university to review new documents. Most students receive a notice letter from WSU within four to six weeks.

About Wright State University
Wright State University is a public university in Fairborn, Ohio, which is a suburb of Dayton. Named for the Wright Brothers who owned a bicycle shop nearby and tested their airplane designs on a local field, its also known as WSU and Wright State. Miami University and Ohio State University worked together to establish a regional campus in the Dayton area in 1964 as Dayton was one of the largest cities in the state without a public university. To give the campus more room, Wright Patterson Air Force Base and the United States Air Force donated land to the school. Some of the co-op programs available today are on that base. U.S. News and World Report rank Wright State as the 200th best university in the nation and one of the best in the world. Thanks to a recent expansion of the campus and the addition of online programs, enrollment at WSU now includes more than 13,000 students.
