Off Campus Ao Bsn Students Who Drop Or Fail A Course
Students who either withdraw from or fail a Jr I AP-BSN course can repeat that course online the next time the course is offered for the same partner or at another partner hospital if space is available. Students who have not successfully completed Jr I courses cannot move to the on-campus program. If a student requests to move to the on-campus program, they will be placed in the pool of students applying for the next on campus program start date. Off campus AO students will be ranked along with the other applicants who are in the pool and will not be given preference because they had previously been accepted into the off campus AO-BSN program.
AO-BSN students who withdraw or fail a course in Jr II, Sr I, or Sr II can repeat the course online with the same partner hospital the next available time the course is offered, or at another partner hospital if space is available. Refer to the below order of preference for clinical placement guidelines.
*If there are more students than seats available, the students will be placed in the order in which they request the move .

An associate dean in The University of Texas at Arlingtons College of Nursing and Health Innovation is among 100 nurses selected as a 2022 Dallas-Fort Worth Great 100 Nurse.
Professor Kathryn Daniel, who has worked in gerontological nursing for 35 years, was nominated by her peers for her dedication and passion for the field of nursing, as well as the great impact she has had on patients and students alike.
Nursing is a wonderful career for anyone to consider, she said. There are so many opportunities for nurses to be a part of really making a significant difference in the lives of people in our communities. Ive really been blessed to be able to take advantage of those open doors when they appeared in my path. I cant imagine doing anything else.
Daniel has practiced as an advance practice registered nurse in geriatric primary care, long-term care, home-based primary care, and assisted living facilities during her career as a nurse practitioner. Before becoming an APRN, she practiced as a critical care nurse and administrative supervisor for one of the largest hospitals in the DFW area. While in that role, she was selected to be the first nurse to care for the first heart transplant patient in Dallas.
Her most recent work and passion centers on facilitating healthy aging and preparing nurses to care for a rapidly aging population.

Yes At Wgu You Can Pass Most Courses As Quickly As You Master The Material
Everyone learns at a different pace. Thats why WGU offers competency-based education. We care what you learn, not how long it takes you to learn it. If you can master anatomy in three weeksdo it! Draw on Your Experience
No one wants to spend time re-learning skills and concepts they use every day. Thats why WGU lets you complete courses as soon as you can prove youve mastered the required material. Fly through subjects you know, and spend time on what you still need to learn.
Dedicate Extra Time
Because you can complete courses as fast as you master the material, if you can dedicate extra time to your schooling, you can use it to help you learn new concepts and finish your program faster.
Learn Fast
Some subjects just make sense. You read it or the teacher explains it and you just naturally understand. At WGU, you can maximize quick learning to complete courses faster, potentially saving you time and money towards your degree.

Essential Performance Standards For Admission And Progression In The College Of Nursing
It is the philosophy of the University of Texas at Arlington College of Nursing that the baccalaureate program is designed to prepare a competent, self-directed, general practitioner of nursing who can assume increasing responsibility and leadership in the delivery of nursing care. In consideration of the preparation of a general practitioner, all individuals who apply for admission and are enrolled in the undergraduate program must be able to perform the essential functions of a student of nursing.
The College of Nursing has identified areas of essential functioning: communication, hearing, visual and motor. The student enrolled in the program must demonstrate mastery of components comprising each of the four areas. Because providing direct patient care is physically demanding, students need to meet the physical requirements of a staff nurse in the same setting in which they are completing a clinical rotation.
Qualified applicants are admitted without discrimination with regard to race, color, national origin or ancestry, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, veteran status or disability .
More detailed information is available on the nursing website www.uta.edu/nursing in the Student Handbook.

The Investigation Found Improper International Trips Improper Financial Dealings And Pressure To Dramatically Increase The Schools Online Nursing Program
7:10 PM on Mar 19, 2020 CDT
Update March 20 at 6 p.m.:This story was updated to include a response from UT-Arlington regarding its nursing program.
An investigation into the University of Texas at Arlington found improper financial relationships between a school administrator and a private vendor that helped the school provide an online nursing program.
The investigation, conducted by the consulting firm Protiviti, also found that outgoing UT-Arlington President Vistasp Karbhari took at least two international trips with executives from the vendor company and allowed the vendor to push for expedited enrollment processes that let under-qualified students enroll into the schools online nursing program.
That vendor was paid more than $178 million over about a five-year period.
The University of Texas System released details of the investigation late Thursday after several open records requests from media, including The Dallas Morning News. A few hours later, Karbhari informed UT System Chancellor James B. Milliken that he was stepping down as president effective immediately
Karbarhi had announced earlier this month that he was stepping down as president effective Aug. 31. UT System officials have said his leave is part of an agreement following the investigation.
Karbhari did not return messages seeking comment Thursday or in recent weeks as questions about his leadership have arisen.
