Nursing Bsn Application Deadlines
Application deadlines vary by track. Please note that you first must be admitted to UCF before you can apply to the College of Nursings BSN program.

Nationally accredited by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education , our nursing programs meet the educational eligibility criteria for licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Florida.
Traditional BSNThe traditional BSN provides you with a basis for professional nursing practice. The program has four tracks: traditional, accelerated second degree, concurrent and RN to BSN. Admission is limited and occurs once a year on UCFs Orlando, Cocoa and Daytona Beach campuses. Youll want to apply to this program prior to your junior year of college.
Traditional Bsn And Second Degree Bsn
Applicants are offered conditional admission to a BSN program prior to submitting fingerprinting and background checks. This requires conditionally admitted or invited students to order a background check and complete a LiveScan fingerprint within seven calendar days following the RSVP deadline. An applicant who fails to do so will forfeit his or her seat.
Applicants located outside of Florida are encouraged to do the fingerprints and background checks during the application window to avoid delays as mailed fingerprint cards may take up to 4 weeks to process.
Applicants will submit a background check and fingerprints through CastleBranch.com. If completed early, results may not be older than two months prior to the application deadline.

- Traditional Orlando BSN
Nursing students are placed into real clinical settings as part of their education. Access to such settings is guided by Florida law which regulates the employment of persons to such settings as outlined in Florida Statute Title XXXI, Chapter 435 Section 04, Level 2 Screening Standards.
Print, sign, scan and return the Memorandum of Agreement you received according to the directions in the email.
Once your major is changed to the correct BSN track, you will be able to register for BSN courses.

Below are the minimum program requirements for an MSN program at UCF:
- Fulfill general UCF graduate admissions requirements. Visit the Admissions section of the Graduate Catalog for details.

Phd In Nursing Programs: Bsn To Phd And Post

For students unable to travel to campus for an information session:
Seminole State/UCF Concurrent ASN to BSN applicants are also REQUIRED to attend an SSC Nursing Information Session. Get a head start by downloading the SSC/UCF Admissions Checklist.
Valencia/UCF Concurrent ASN to BSN applicants are strongly encouraged to also attend a Valencia Health Sciences Information Session. Get a head start by downloading the VC/UCF Admissions Checklist.
Students who have additional questions after attending an Information and Advising Session can schedule an individual appointment with a nursing staff advisor.
Applicants must earn a C or better in all prerequisite courses.
If courses were taken out of state or at a private institution or if not part of the state of Florida common course numbering, you must submit a petition to the College of Nursing for all courses you wish to transfer .

Online Concurrent Enrollment Nursing Program
Youve completed the first semester of your ASN and know you want to continue on to a BSN. Start your journey now.
If youre enrolled at a Florida College System institution, you can now begin to take online courses toward an esteemed BSN degree from UCF and thus complete your BSN degree more quickly than the 2+2 model through UCFs online Concurrent ASN to BSN program.
When you complete your ASN degree, you will already have earned more than half of your BSN credits and will complete the remainder of UCFs BSN program in a convenient, flexible online format.
Students who are enrolled in UCFs Concurrent ASN to BSN program will take the NCLEX-RN after successfully completing the ASN portion of their program and prior to enrolling in their final BSN courses at UCF.
Concurrent ASN to BSN students will become eligible for financial aid and scholarships at UCF after completing the ASN degree portion of their program.

- BSN degree from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent. Students with a Non-Nursing Bachelors may apply to a DNP program, but must take prerequisites.

- RN license in the State of Florida. Out-of-state applicants must be eligible for an RN license in Florida and obtain an RN license to begin clinical courses.
