- Prerequisite courses must have been completed within the past 10 years as of your programs start term. All courses must be completed with the equivalent of a C grade or better from a regionally accredited institution.
Accelerated Second Degree BSN applicants who have earned a bachelors degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.8 or better may apply without ATI-TEAS.
It is strongly recommended that waiver-eligible applicants provide ATI-TEAS scores if they have earned below a B- in any science prerequisite course, or repeated science courses.

Admission To Dominican University And The Absn Option
Candidates send their official transcripts to the Office of Admissions and complete an application to Dominican University. Admission to the ABSN Option is a separate process conducted by the Nursing Division. Criteria for admission to the ABSN Option include a minimum baccalaureate GPA of 2.7, completion and documentation of all prerequisites and placement tests prior to starting the program, and the space available. It is strongly recommended that applications be submitted to the Office of Admissions by the November 1st prior to the intended ABSN start date.

The Accelerated Second Degree in Nursing is designed for students who already have a baccalaureate degree in a non-nursing field of study and will help you earn a Nursing degree quickly.
The Accelerated Second Degree in Nursing is a pre-licensure nursing program for college graduates who want to become registered nurses . Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN licensure examination. All prerequisites must be completed before applications are reviewed for this program.
Choose the program path that fits around your life. Take classes primarily held on weekdays with clinicals often held on weekends. Or enroll in our intensive weekend program with classes and clinicals on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays.
Second Degree Accelerated Bsn
This program is a 14-month, 62-credit cohort model for those who already hold a non-nursing bachelors degree. It prepares students to practice nursing in a range of settings from ambulatory care and community-health agencies to acute and long-term care facilities. Students learn to provide evidence-based care, using critical thinking and clinical decision-making.
We offer the program at our Freehold, N.J., location and on our Interprofessional Health Science Campus in Nutley, N.J. .
Graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-R.N. licensing exam.
