Job Prospects Of Loma Linda Nurse Practitioners

In 2014, the United States of America provided 170,000 jobs to nurse practitioners. According to BLS, the industry is expected to grow by 31% over the next decade. During that time, as much as 57,000 jobs will be available. This is primarily due to the lack of healthcare professionals. The number of doctors and physicians cannot cope with the increasing medical needs of the population. This means that PAs and NPs will continue to be needed for a long time. There is an expected 11% increase in jobs for Family, Pediatric, Gastroenterology, and Hospitalist NPs while jobs for neonatal NPs will have a 34% increase. This is way above the average growth rate of other careers.
The best way to deal with people in the medical field is to use the patient-centered approach, which is a much ideal process than only focusing on the illness. Nurses perform these tasks, thats why they are needed. Thus, patients sometimes prefer NPs to PAs.
There is a growing demand for medical care in rural areas. Most of these areas are not suitable for new buildings, which means that the people could only consult with NPs. These medical practitioners may ask help from other physicians to cater to the patients in the area. Most NPs get hired to work for Office of Physicians, Outpatient Care Centers, and General Hospitals.

Student Awards Available For Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program
LLU School of Nursing
Loma Linda University School of Nursing will receive $1 million in student awards for psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners who wish to work in the Inland Empire following graduation as a PMHNP.
The grant from the Inland Empire Health Plan is the second consecutive such grant from IEHP and aims to address the shortage of psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners in clinics serving the underserved in the region through this award program.
This generous grant from IEHP is a Win-Win, said Elizabeth Bossert, PhD, RN, dean of the School of Nursing. First it helps those who live in the Inland Empire who are dealing with mental health challenges, and with the increase in stress in society, this is an increasing problem. And second, it helps students by providing a way to complete the PMHNP without major tuition debt. We are glad to work with IEHP in benefiting the community through this partnership.
The grant will help numerous students, such as award recipients Jennifer Jeong and Daniel Lucero.
Jeong has been working as a child/adolescent inpatient nurse at Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center. She is passionate about caring for the psychiatric needs of children and adolescents. This award will allow her to obtain the specialty training she has dreamed of to better serve our communitys most vulnerable populations.

To revise, you first need to get an associates degree or a diploma to become a registered nurse. Then, you need to earn a bachelors degree, which will expose you to real life medical situations.
