Minneapolis Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, today announced the launch of two accelerated entrance options for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at its Bloomington and Mankato, Minn. campuses. The Rasmussen College BSN degree program, which is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education , is immediately available with the accelerated pre-licensure entrance options that are designed for students who are committed to the nursing profession and eager to launch their careers as quickly as possible. The accelerated entrance options also help fill a significant need for registered nurses with bachelors degrees in Minnesota. Classes are expected to begin in January.

Admission Requirements: Prospective online MSN students must hold a bachelor of science in nursing degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. An RN license in the state where practicums will be completed and a criminal background check are required. No GMAT, GRE, or application fee is required. Application materials include an application, a writing sample, official transcripts, proof of RN licensure, and two letters of reference .

Drug screening, proof of up-to-date immunizations, and current CPR certification may be requirements at some practicum sites. Study Plan: The online Rasmussen online MSN program can be completed in as little as 18 months of full-time study. Nurses are able to work part-time or full-time during the program as it is designed to meet the needs of busy, working professionals.Start dates land in the fall, winter, spring, and summer. Quarters run for 11 weeks. Students can complete the courses at their own pace throughout each term. Clinicals are completed at approved sites local to the student under masters or doctorally prepared preceptors.

Rasmussen College Application Requirements

True to the schools nature, applying for admittance to Rasmussen College is a pretty simple affair there are few of the obstacles that make applying to college more of a challenge. For one thing, RC charges no application fee. This levels the playing field from a financial standpoint.
