Can I Get Into A Nursing Program With A 25 Gpa

Rasmussen College Nursing Graduate Turned Clinical Instructor [2018]

A minimum GPA: Between your bachelors degree and your prerequisite courses, youll need to meet a minimum GPA. Most programs require at least a 2.5 GPA or higher. Some set their limit at a 3.0 GPA. This is important to find out during the research phase of your accelerated nursing program search.

Increased Collaboration And Employee Buy

Inclusive leaders can have a positive impact on their teams work. The Deloitte report found that inclusive leaders lead to a 70 percent increase in experiences of fairness, respect, value and belonging. This leads to a 17 percent increase in team performance, a 20 percent increase in decision-making quality and a 29 percent increase in team collaboration.1

If a team feels empowered to share their distinct points of view, assumptions can be challenged, new ideas can come to the forefront and employees may become more invested in their work.

Do Not Got To This School

DO NOT got to this school!!! I NEVER do reviews, but this program is a disgrace. I am currently in their BSN program and it is an absolute mess. The first quarter was good and the teachers were great, but this quarter is HORRID. Most of the professors are horrible and don’t know anything about what they are teaching. Specifically Nancy Drallmeier. She should not be allowed to teach in any capacity and offers no resources for studying. Clinicals are almost worse than the teachers. We showed up to a clinical site and our professor never showed up. Turns out we aren’t having actual clinicals because the school is so poor at getting their schduling straight, so they slapped something together on campus that had no relation to our actual class. Students that graduate next month told us to “leave while you still can.” The administration and teachers love to use Covid as an excuse for the s**t show that this program is. Save your money and go somewhere where you will actually learn something.

Worst Educational Experience Of My Life

In my last quarter of the nursing program and have to say this has been the worst educational experience of my life. Aside from a handful of instructors, the teaching has been abysmal at best. It is nearly impossible to get a timely response from instructors or deans . The clinical sites are a joke . The only pros of this school are being able to get in quickly and be done quickly. You will teach yourself for the most part, which I didnt mind too much as an LPN but if I didnt have any prior healthcare experience Id be very shaky with what this school teaches.

Finding A Support System

You wont be going through nursing school on your own. In your cohort, youll find other nursing students going through many of the same struggles. Schulenberg was often inspired by her fellow nursing students and comforted that they understood what she was going through.

When asked for advice for current nursing students, Harris recommends reaching out and forming connections with new people you meet through classes and clinicals. Find people to enjoy the process with. Thats what made it worth it, says Harris.

Tap into your friends and family as your support system as well. Tell them about your exciting plans and let them know how your life will change as you advance into nursing school. Chances are good theyll be excited for you, and theyll do what they can to encourage you.
