What Is Galen College Of Nursing Schools Transfer Policy
The Galen University website reports that if an applicant is attending or has attended a school other than Galen with a related curriculum, they may be able to obtain credit for those courses. However, a request for evaluation of prior or current courses and credits must be submitted and approved before signing the enrollment agreement.
A copy of the official transcript of the courses to be considered for transfer must be sent to Galen directly from each school, college, or university attended.

Upon receipt of an official transcript, transfer credits from non-U.S. colleges / universities are evaluated and granted on a course equivalency basis. The Dean must receive an evaluation of official transcripts by an approved educational evaluator service attesting that the courses are equivalent to courses earned at a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the United States. Transfer credits are granted only for courses in which a grade of C or higher was earned . Associate Degree In Nursing
The Associate Degree in Nursing program is offered to individuals new to nursing who are interested in becoming a Registered Nurse. The curriculum includes hands-on learning and extensive clinical experience, provided early in the program. This is combined with general education courses that allow students to prepare for a rewarding career in nursing. The Associate Degree in Nursing program is a 24-month degree offered in Cincinnati, Tampa Bay, and Louisville campuses. It is also accredited by the state Board of Nursing and the Accreditation Commission for Nursing Education thereby allowing graduates to take the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses .
The tuition cost of the ADN program is $355 per quarter credit hour. This does not include a technology fee of $50, lab fee of $35, and clinical fee of $50 per clinical course. Books cost approximately $2,700, and uniforms are around $250. Students are expected to pay $100 for the registration fee and $150 for the background fee.

A dual degree program allows a student to study and earn two degrees at the same time. A 3-2 dual degree program is a five-year program wherein the first three years are spend taking undergraduate courses and the final two years are spent taking graduate courses. Upon completion of the 5 years, the student will be awarded two degrees, a bachelors degree and a masters degree.
