Columbus State Community College Nursing
This program is built to prepare students to provide various healthcare services to people of every age and setting. There are two different program tracks available here: the online track and the traditional track.
This program has been approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing and has been accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.
Registered Nurse Associate Degree
This program lasts for seven quarters and includes knowledge from humanities, sciences and nursing.

Our programs are offered in a fully online format with minimal face to face on campus requirements during the program. Students completing the MSN degree have opportunities encompassing management, administration, teaching, and advanced practice clinical positions throughout Georgia and the nation.

Become a Registered Nurse ! Columbus State’s Associate of Applied Science in Nursing Degree prepares our graduates to provide direct care to clients with common health problems in a variety of settings.
We offer a five semester program that includes knowledge from nursing, humanities and sciences along with a strong emphasis on psychomotor skills. Students go to a wide variety of practice settings. Students are exposed to a well-developed curriculum that includes an emphasis on critical thinking, decision making, delegation and care management skills in the acute, intermediate, chronic and community care areas.

The Columbus State University School of Nursing offers an online Master of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner program with 100% online coursework and clinical preceptorships at approved facilities local to the student. No campus visits are required.
Columbus State University previously offered the MSN FNP program through the Georgia Intercollegiate Consortium for Graduate Nursing Education , which has since been dissolved. CSU now offers their own MSN program and has applied for initial accreditation through the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education .
The FNP program covers health care populations across the lifespan, and courses cover the study of women and children, adults, and the elderly, including clinical experiences in each category. Courses also include material on pharmacology, health assessment, researcy, scientific underpinnings of advanced practice nursing, evidence-based practice, and health promotion.
Graduates are eligible to take the FNP certification exam through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center .
