Reinhardt Chattahoochee Tech Create Partnership To Benefit Students

Reinhardt University and Chattahoochee Technical College are coming together to offer Chattahoochee Tech students a smooth transition to Reinhardt to complete their four-year degree in nursing.

The EducationalPathway was signed Monday, Sept. 30, at the Appalachian Campus of ChattahoocheeTechnical College in Jasper.

The EducationalPathway allows for Chattahoochee Tech students who earn their Associate ofScience in Nursing to continue on at Reinhardts Cauble School of Nursing & Health Sciences to earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing. It also includesReinhardts RN to BSN online program. The articulation agreement highlightsclasses that will transfer from Chattahoochee Tech to Reinhardts nursingprograms and is applicable for the 2019-2021 academic years.

We will work withthese students with our full commitment and our full vigor to ensure wegenerate more nurses in this very important area of the state, said Dr. JacobHarney, Reinhardt associate provost and dean of the School of Mathematics andSciences. We want to thank you very much and look forward to furthercollaboration.

NORTH GEORGIA The nursing program at Chattahoochee Technical College has been ranked as Georgia’s top associate degree program for nursing.

NursingProcess.org established the 2021 top state ranking for Chattahoochee Tech after thoroughly evaluating 32 programs across Georgia. Data factoring into this ranking included pass rates for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses , academic quality, and nursing school reputation ratings.

This top ranking demonstrates the nursing faculty’s success and pride in preparing Chattahoochee Tech students to become exceptional nurses, according to Dean of Nursing Dr. Quetina Pittman- Howell.

Quetina Pittman-Howell is Chattahoochee Technical College’s new dean of nursing.

Chattahoochee Technical College has announced Quetina Pittman-Howell as the dean of nursing for the colleges highly ranked nursing programs.

Pittman-Howell served previously as the colleges associate dean of nursing, after joining the college as an adjunct faculty member more than eight years ago.

The Chattahoochee Technical College Practical Nursing program was ranked recently as the top nursing program in Georgia for the second year in a row by PracticalNursing.org, and the colleges Registered Nursing program was ranked as one of the states top three programs by RegisteredNursing.org.

I think nursing at Chattahoochee Tech is absolutely incredible, Pittman-Howell said. Where can students in the state of Georgia go where both the RN and PN programs are ranked in the top three? The PN program having a ranking of No. 1 and the RN program having a ranking of No. 3 in the state speaks volumes.

Pittman-Howell said that both the PN and the RN nursing programs have 100-percent board pass rates.

To me this means that students who graduate from a nursing program at Chattahoochee Tech will have the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes that are needed for nursing practice,” she said.

Chattahoochee Tech Practical Nursing Program Ranked In Top Two For The State Of Georgia

The Chattahoochee Technical College Practical Nursing program has been ranked as one of the top two Practical Nursing programs in the state. Earning the second-place score of 99.54 in an assessment by practicalnursing.org, the Chattahoochee Tech ranking was based on pass rates for the National Council Licensure Examination . Southeastern Technical College received the top score of 99.58, with Georgia Piedmont Technical College receiving the third-place score of 98.06. The Chattahoochee Tech nursing program is a competitive, rigorous program involving classroom, laboratory, and clinical activities. Nursing students can complete the college’s associate of science degree program in four semesters. After the successful completion of the NCLEX-RN, program graduates are granted state licensure to practice nursing as an RN.

Chattahoochee Technical College Visits Paulding Rotary

Missy Cusack CTC Paulding Executive Director of Admissions and a member of the Paulding County Rotary Club thanked the Rotary club for their continued support of the scholarship program. She introduced her guests Stephanie Hubbell of the Chattahoochee Tech foundation and Charisa Mackey, of Dallas, who is pursuing an Associate of Science in Nursing. Ms. Mackey is also a recipient of the Paulding Rotary Club scholarship. Mrs. Cusack also updated the club members on the Paulding Chattahoochee Tech campus and its achievements this past year.The primary mission of Chattahoochee Tech is workforce development. The goal is to offer students graduating high school training in technical and scientific certifications that will serve them in finding quality employment quickly. Chattahoochee Tech Paulding’s flagship program since 2015 has been their Associate of Science in Nursing program. The program continues to grow and continues to build upon its success. Mrs. Cusack thanked the club members for their questions as well as the continued support for the scholarships.

Chattahoochee Technical College Was Noted For Its Associate Of Science In Nursing Program In Dallas

From Chattahoochee Technical College:Chattahoochee Technical College recently received the distinction of hosting one of the top 10 nursing programs in Georgia by www.registerednursing.org. Listed at No. 5, CTC was noted for its Associate of Science in Nursing program.

“Nursing programs were assessed on several factors which represent how well a program supports students towards licensure and beyond,” RegisteredNursing.org Founder and Managing Editor Brooke Wallace said. “We analyzed past and present National Council Licensure Examination pass rates, weighted by year.”

The website used CTC’s pass rates from 2011 to 2015 and analyzed 40 total institutions in the state of Georgia. The institutional graduation rate for Chattahoochee Tech’s ASN program is more than 70 percent.
