I Finished My Prerequisites Over Seven Years Ago Will They Be Accepted

Yes, however, it is recommended that prerequisites are completed within the past 7 years. Regardless of when the course was completed, the course must be documented by an official transcript from that institution. Transfer notations on another institutions transcripts will not be accepted in lieu of an official transcript from which the course was taken. The College of Nursing may request a course description or syllabus for coursework completed more than 7 years ago to determine transferability.

Heartland Community College in Normal, Illinois offers a four-semester Associate Degree Nursing program without prerequisites, as long as the student does not need to take any developmental classes.
