• How long is the program?This varies among students and is based on prior coursework, and the ability to complete the program on a part time or full time basis. Once pre-requisite courses are complete, the core nursing coursework can be completed in three semesters . Keep in mind, everyone must complete 120 credits to earn a BSN.
• Can I manage work and this program?This program was developed with the working nurse in mind. Most of our students work full-time and have the ability to balance work, school and family responsibilities.
• Is your program online?Yes, this RN-BSN program is 100% online. Some courses require online check-ins with faculty and peers when working on group assignments.
• What credits transfer?Most nursing program coursework and general education requirements will transfer. The registrar will review and determine transfer equivalencies. Additionally, West Chester does not charge for transfer credits. Progression Within The Program:

A student may be discontinued in their program for a variety of reasons: course failure withdrawal for personal, medical, fitness to practice concerns, etc. Since each semester is a prerequisite for the subsequent semester, a student who does not successfully complete a semester will be discontinued in the program. If the student becomes eligible for re-entry, the student may request re-entry for when that course/semester is next offered. How Long Does It Take To Complete A Bsn Program

A traditional program usually requires four years of full-time study. Part-time options are also available online and on campus, though they will extend your time in school. Some programs have limits on the time youre allowed to complete your coursework and clinical training.

The time it takes to complete a bridge program will vary depending on your experience and previous education. A typical LPN-to-BSN program takes two to three years of full-time study. An RN-to-BSN or ADN-to-BSN program can take about 18 to 24 months.
